16/06/2010: Today, I put up six new gigs for the Summer of 2010, some with my good friends The Belpop Bastards, one soloconcert at Dranouter and a Benefit Concert in memory of Yasmine. Everybody is very welcome!! Also: please become a fan on my official Facebook-fanpage or invite your friends to do so. Every time we hit a new - significant- number, all the fans get a present...right now we're aiming for 500 fans, we still need 5 fans, so suggest that page!!

13/03/2010: New - lower - pricerates for older albums and singles. Wolfish Times (2006) and Humanoid (1999) are still available. Please take note that the album Growing Pains (1996) is completely SOLD OUT.

Marjan Debaene Homeparty

Om de bikkelharde crisis in de muziekindustrie het hoofd te bieden, zocht do-it-yourself artieste Marjan Debaene een creatieve oplossing om haar nieuwe album te bekostigen. Het concept van de homeparty is de basis. Vergeet Tupperware, Mylène of Upper Dare, voortaan komt Marjan je salonfeestje opluisteren. Of instuif op je studentenkot, zolder, garage of andere koterij, want onder het motto ‘Home is where I lay my hat’ kan iedereen een heuse Marjan Debaene Homeparty geven.

Het verloop van de avond is erg eenvoudig. De gastheer/vrouw nodigt al zijn/haar vrienden en gelijkgestemden uit voor een gezellig avondje live-muziek. Marjan komt in exclusieve avant-première alle nummers van haar nieuwe plaat spelen, brengt al eens een gastmuzikant mee, speelt nieuwe versies van nummers uit de oude doos en speelt ook op verzoek. In haar hoed zitten een hele resem covers, aan de gastheer om er eentje uit te trekken.

In ruil voor deze sneakpreview doen de aanwezigen hun vrije bijdrage in de hoed en kunnen ze reeds vooraf intekenen op de nieuwe plaat. Op die manier hoopt Marjan snel, efficiënt maar vooral ook door te doen wat ze het beste kan - live zingen - haar begroting voor de cd rond te krijgen.
